Wow what a busy selling/buying weekend. Once in a while we get a van load of things together for a blow out sale at the local college junk swap. So all day Saturday was spent trying to come home with a empty van . While selling I always find time to drag some new stuff back home and there was a guy who was sell a truckload of vintage odds and ends that came out of a old furniture store. I scored a whole box of big oversized sales tags ( Watch for the post this week) On to today back up at the crack of dawn to shop the Irvine antique meet. Found some neat things but the find of the day to me was this great menu for $8.00. When I checked it out at home there was also a extra surprise inside of a original paper place-mat featuring the building and location, Arcadia, Ca

That menu is WAY cool, I seem to remember Pie King, from my days at Caltech, along with the ever fabulous Pie n Burger
Neat find! For fun I checked Google street view, and the building still exists. Seems it is the Chef's Coffee Shop now. Always glad to see a bit of Americana surviving.
