Well Happy Halloween Everyone who has dropped by this past month. I wasn't sure I would be able to get thru a whole month of Halloween posts but some how I did ( well maybe I missed a few days). This last post for the the month is a giant vintage store display pumpkin we once had. The piece was great on its own but at one point there was a crow that would sit on the top . When I found it only the feet left which was molded onto the top (you can see on the top left where the feet are). The piece was the size of a basketball and looking back I wished I had kept it for at least a little while.
Hope everyone has a great Halloween, see you in a week when Tikiranch goes back to its irregular blogcasting.
One happy Jack-o-lantern posing as the scarecrow in the field. He had to gut one his own for a place to stand and staked another kin for something to hold. Just look at the poor guy on the stick his green tongue is sticking out. The artist of this napkin went the easy route on the back by just eliminating most of the front art but left just a piece of the pole.
It seems to me that the older paper plates are square with round corners and the newer ones are round. This one has the usual Hallloween suspects, bats, cats and jacks.....stop by tomorrow and Sunday for the last two party posts.
No faced witch with oversized eyes playing her broom while balanced on a black picket fence. Quite a spectacular talent for a witch back then add a few trained dancing owls for flavor.

Today are some scans off a leftover roll of vintage Halloween crepe paper streamers. I like the way they had alternating Sad/Frowning and Happy/ Smiling Cat and Pumpkin designs. It is nice that this stuff has survived all these years when for the most part it was used for a party and tossed out the next day.
Just the toys a kid needs for do it yourself make up and Halloween Pranks These images came out of a little Mattel catalog feature all the thingmaker toys plus a few other toys they had out at the time.
2 Scary Treat Bags Floating out of the cauldron stew is sort of smokey Blob Monster character with saber tooth teeth. Evil Witch finally doing something other than flying away.
Scary skeleton hiding under a see-thru Harry Potter cloaking sheet with his trusty owl on his shoulderblade.
I hope you enjoyed this week of Treat Bag art stay tuned next week..... it's Halloween Party Time.
