Any of you that have stuck with the blog for a number of years ( Thanks !) know I collect ornament hanger boxes. I had posted a few years back for the holidays but thought I would do another round this year of my collection. I have found four so far bet there are few more out there so I better get hunting.

Just kidding stay tuned for the next couple of days for the ornament box onslaught.

1990 and 1991 Lego greeting cards from a friend who lived in Denmark. I used to trade vintage vw toys with him thru the mail, before the internet took over. Funny I had saved them all these years, must have been for todays post.

Big Santa

Another santa turned up this morning at the show. five feet tall but the best part was the original box which was huge.

Space Party

 

One great vintage space party paper ( almost tissue paper thin)  table covering that I was able to get pics of after impeding destruction due to the rain that started to descend on the weekend junk swap about a month ago.  I was able to place in under a table and then pulled it out for these pics after the rain had stopped. I would have just bought it but those dealers think this stuff is made of gold even though they would have just left it to dissolve in the rain had I not moved it. I like the fact that space boys have 2 astro poodles and space girls have 1 orbit kitty.

Empire Plastic Santa Box

One of those things I should have bought but did not

The Santa was out in front of the booth but the best part was stashed in the back. It was early and I was telling myself keep it small today so at 30 bucks it was tempting but I was heading out after the swap to pick up a dental cabinet ( no extra room in the beetle) so the Santa was passed on. I did manage to get a few OK pics of the amazing box art which I have never seen before.
