Nauga Nauga Nauga

Looking thru some old photos I found this shot of my Nauga Collection. I had collected them for a while maybe 10 years or more ago when they were much much cheaper than these days. I remember finding my first one at a thrift store for something like 2.98 ( In Red wax pencil of course)... glad that naugahyde cleans up with no staining. I wish I had kept a few but sold almost all of them to one dealer back in the day. You can see the glitter one Dan @ Mister Toast got from me toward the back.

I LOVE those! I have been hoping to find one (for the past 15 years)while out junking, but not once have I run into one.

It's the Kustom Kat! Mascot for Kustom guitar amplifiers. You know the ones with the cool tuck and roll covering.

actually that is not the Glitter one I got from you - mine has the blue mouth!

How many of those did you have!?!?!

Such a great photo.

My husband has a couple from when he was a kid. He swore that he remembered getting them from a furniture salesmen, and after looking online, I guess he was right (they were used as promos). We have one in our living room.

He looks harmless, but I'm afraid that he is the one who is eating my socks out of the dryer.

I still have my two from childhood. My grandfather got them from a Naugahyde distributor in LA back in the early 60s when he owned an upholstery shop. I've looked for more of them in my adulthood, but I can only find them on ebay. They are definately a conversation piece. If you are luck enough to have an original, hang on to it.
