Howdy Podner

vintage vegas waterslide decal

I could do a book with all the "Howdy Podner" things I see at the shows.

No!!! I am not going to start collecting them........well maybe just the cool graphic ones.

NIK

Cool Character I turned up on an old matchbook

Maid of Honor

So I sometimes buy weird things that I never thought I would like a Giant Rooster or a stack of vintage Frozen Turkey Giblet waxed containers. I sometimes stop at the local Goodwill on my way home from work but I usually do not find anything worth picking up. The other day I did find a interesting wood/steel ironing board complete with the cover still on it. I am sort of liking the old metal industrial objects lately and this board had that look. I fit in my beetle and later that night I decided to remove the cover which revealed today image post.

Just think that cover preserved the original advertising for you and the world to enjoy.I guess it has lasted a Lifetime so far, no where do I store it??????

Sunday Score 1/25/09

Picked up a extra head last week at the Glendale show.

New on Sunday

been lazy this week so new posts will resume on Sunday.

The way to POP

Here is a interesting Pacific Ocean Park piece.

The dealer I bought it from told me when her family would drive to POP they would but this sign in the car window. I was telling some friends about the sign and they remember having one too. They must have given them out at the place.

If you are in the Glendale area this weekend there is a fun advertising and collectible show going on. Here is the info

Here is a shot of my booth from one of the past shows. I try not to bring too much but that never seems to happen.

Clown-a-Round

Big, Vinyl, Sqeaker, Clown Face (with ears), Numbers and just a great cushion to sit on.
I had to buy it.
